From what I can tell, it is stable, finally resolving this issue for good. Windows Update now automatically serves an updated Broadcom driver, version 7.77.113.0, for this device. Go to Settings > Software & Updates > Additional Drivers It loads for a few minutes and then shows your wifi device (Broadcast name) and then you can enable it. But every now and then I am getting errors in Event Viewer, it is always coming up when I start ASUS WLAN Control Center: Also I got 2 times BSOD with the massage: In the MEMORY. Other power-saving options like Minimum Power Consumption in the driver I generally keep off, as my media storage connection setup has proven less fickle that way. I bought the PCE-AC68 Dual Band Wireless AC1900 PCI-E Adapter. Toggling off PCI-E Link State Power Management in Windows' Power Options could also generally help with keeping a stable connection. I've had it running for a while now and it also appears to be stable so far.Īdditionally, someone in the thread linked above also recommends disabling Bluetooth Collaboration in the advanced driver settings, as well as a registry change which will help with the 'BCM42RLY service failing to start' thing you also see in the event log. Other than that, if you're up for it, try the newest Broadcom package from Station-Drivers. After a lot of googling, I've found that the newest ASUS 2.1.1.4/.5 driver package (7.35.315.0 is the Broadcom chipset driver version) is what is causing it. If you're like me and have this Wi-Fi card, then you might have noticed random BSODs, NetworkUXBroker crashes leading to system freezes on Wi-Fi channel changes, disconnects, 'WLAN Extensibility has stopped' flooding the event log etc.
